    This sauce is widely available and popular, so is a good benchmark for Mexican-style sauces.

    The flavour is of fresh peppers and mild vinegar, with a hint of sweetness. It doesn’t add much flavour to your meal, but what it does add is not unpleasant.

    The heat is not as intense as you might fear, so you can dab a fair bit onto your food without issue.

    It seems to go further in a drink, however, so be conservative if putting it into a Michelada or a Bloody Mary.

    Worth having in the cupboard as a decent all-purpose habanero sauce.
