  • Dr. Burnörium says:

Marie Sharp’s habanero pepper sauces are produced in her beloved home country of Belize and are revered by chilli-heads the world over for their exceptional quality and freshness of flavour.
Marie Sharp’s Belizean Heat is pretty damned amazing stuff. Produced especially for her native Belizean’s, who obviously like things just a tad hotter, Marie has cranked the heat level up a notch from her Fiery Hot version.
It’s not a massive jump, but Belizean Heat does deliver an extra fiery jolt of wonderful, fruity, habanero flavour.

  1. Anthony I

I’ve just tried Marie Sharp’s Beliezian Heat and I really enjoyed it. I just used it as a dipping sauce with some cocktail sausages and the flavour was great! The heat comes through nicely and the fruity flavour is there. The bottle has a small hole at the top to prevent you pouring too much. That was a bit of a disappointment for me as I wanted to pour more of it!

    Here are my ratings –
    Heat 8/10
    Taste 8/10
    Scoville units – 350,000 (roughly)

Doesn’t say what the shelf life is once opened.

I really enjoyed this sauce, it was just a shame that the top doesn’t allow you to pour at a faster rate. The sauce is quite thick, not too watery like some, and the heat really comes through. I can see why it has a safety lid as it is a hot sauce but I can easily get through it as a dipping sauce. I’m probably going to use this on a burger at some point but it would also be good in sauces.

When I did the spoon test it looked and smelt a little like a salsa, it’s quite chunky and smells fruity. The taste was great, it’s not as hot as @hotsauceemporium stated, they gave it 9/10 but I don’t think it’s quite hot enough to be given that score.

Overall – great taste, good level of heat and great value for money. I might have to get myself another bottle. Although I want to keep on trying different ones.

  2. Roberto Romero

Lovely sauce with a good level of heat, very similar heat level to the Beware sauce by Marie Sharp’s. Goes well with pretty much anything, which can’t be a bad thing.

  3. Gijs

If you want ketchup with some heat then this is definitely worth considering. Enjoyed the taste but miss the real heat

  4. Clem Hellmood

If you want a very hot sauce that’s goes with everything, you’ve got it right here…..

  5. Joy

Great sauce combining heat with fruity flavour. My go to for everything!

  6. Henxy

Go-to sauce for a great taste and a sweaty forehead.

  7. Anne McHenry

Marie Sharp’s Belizean Heat is my reliable favourite sauce and I add it to all kinds of food: breakfast, lunch or dinner. A little bit on the rice with a curry, a few drops on a cashew nut butter sandwich, on cheese on toast, basically anything that could do with a spot of livening up. It isn’t just chilli flavour, as the Dr’s description says, it is quite fruity
