The Donis Hot Sauce – Revenant

£9.95

  • Dr. Burnörium says:

Revenant is a ghostly, medium-hot hot sauce with a story as vivid as its flavour. Ghost peppers bring a steady, warming burn, perfectly balanced by the soft sweetness of flame-touched red bell peppers. Watermelon and raspberries add a subtle, fruity intrigue that creeps in behind the heat. I’ve tried it over grilled meats, stirred it into roasted vegetables, and even dared a drizzle on a hearty sandwich—the burn is noticeable, but the flavour lingers long after, haunting your taste buds in the best possible way. With every spoonful, you can almost hear the whispers of old New Orleans legends echoing through the kitchen.

  • The Label says:

Created by Professor Donis after the constant presence of a too well to do family from New Orleans. Their whispers were only ever about the family recipe, this offering will hopefully keep them at bay. Revenant carries a pleasant ghost pepper flavor with just enough flame touched red bell pepper to balance enhance the flavor. The watermelon and raspberries were the professor’s addition… it’s a better fate than that family had.

From the travelogue of Professor Donis, Hunter of Legends and Collector of Mythical Trophies:

    September 9, 1976
    New Orleans, Louisiana
Heard about a powerful local haunting, hoped for a sighting. Instead, spent 3+ hours with the current resident. Had to nod and smile at a LOT of family photos.
Postscript: County records show house vacant since prior inhabitants killed in robbery gone wrong.
Addendum: Saw a mother & children who looked much like the photos across a road the following day, and again today in hotel lobby. Nobody else seemed to see them. Concerning

    September 12, 1976
They were all on my flight
