Fat Cat’s Purry-Purry Sauce is a tongue-tingling delight straight out of South Africa by way of Bangkok.

With sweet roasted onions, garlic, ginger and peri-peri peppers getting up to no good in a thick, exotic frenzy, this one’s a punchy little blighter that lingers like an unwanted relative after Christmas. It’s warm and flavourful, perfect on grilled meat, seafood, or stirred through stir-fry like a madman in a wok. Purry-Purry? More like Hurry-Hurry to get it down your gob.

Our flagship sauce! Purry-Purry Sauce is Fat Cat Gourmet’s version of the classic South African condiment Piri-Piri Sauce (or Peri Peri Sauce, as it’s known in some circles)! A magical Thai-Asian-inspired mix of caramelized onions, garlic, ginger, tomatoes and peri-peri peppers — small red chilies that pack some powerful back heat.

Tasting Notes: Thick and unctuous, with a base of roasted onion, garlic and ginger that coats the palate, followed by the umami of roasted tomato and the earthy punch of red chili pepper. Think Thai-inspired curry but without the coconut.
