Tubby Tom’s began in 2014 with one homemade batch of BBQ sauce and a rather good suggestion from some friends: sell the stuff. Eleven years later, Tom and his crew make a seriously impressive range of hot sauces, BBQ sauces and seasonings in Gloucester.

What I like about Tubby Tom’s is the complete lack of corporate nonsense. The brand puts big flavour, proper ingredients and having a bloody good time with food ahead of playing it safe. Their range covers everything from smoky BBQ sauces to chilli-packed hot sauces and inventive seasoning blends.

Tom built the business with help from friends and family. That hands-on spirit still runs through the company today. They’ve grown considerably, but the rebellious DIY attitude remains firmly intact.
