When Dave Hirschkop owned a small restaurant called Burrito Madness near the University of Maryland he often had to contend with drunken and troublesome customers. Dave found the solution to his problem was to feed super-hot sauce to the drunks, at which point they either left or became extremely quiet.
And so began Dave's mission to create the hottest sauce in the universe. This desire became reality when, dressed in a straitjacket, he introduced the world to Dave's Insanity Sauce at the National Fiery Foods Show in New Mexico. Things couldn't have gone much better really. Dave's Insanity Sauce was banned from the show for being too hot!
Since that fateful day back in the mid-nineties, Dave has sold Burrito Madness, set up Dave's Gourmet Inc, introduced some seventy products to his range, won a shed-load of awards and gained the loyalty and respect of chilli-heads the world over.
